In the initial two months (April & May) of FY26, the Japanese two-wheeler brand has retailed 9,45,979 units which comprises of domestic sales of 8,40,155 units and 1,05,824 units exports. It continued to maintain the second position in terms of sales numbers behind the highest-selling brand Hero MotoCorp in the Indian market. The company introduced a plethora of new premium motorcycles in its big bike portfolio which are sold through the BigWing dealerships. It introduced the Rebel 500, X-ADV, CB750 Hornet, CB1000 Hornet SP, and the flagship 50th Anniversary edition of Gold Wing Tour last month in the domestic market. In addition, the CB650R and CBR650R E-Clutch also went on sale in May 2025.
Globally, the brand achieved a momentous milestone by rolling out the 500 millionth motorcycle ever since it began operations in 1949, which is nearly 76 years back from today. Honda also ramped up its manufacturing capacity in India by adding a new production line at its Vithalapur plant in Gujarat.

Honda also silently discontinued the CD 110 Dream in the Indian market. The entry-level commuter was first launched in 2014 and after a successful run of 11 years, the company finally pulled the plug on the motorcycle as the sales volume came down to just double digits in March 2025. However, it still has the Shine 100 in the commuter segment of motorcycles. As far as road safety and CSR activities go, Honda promoted safety awareness campaigns in 13 parts of the country namely –Jalgaon and Kolhapur (Maharashtra), Hazaribagh (Jharkhand), Ghaziabad and Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh), Kotputli (Rajasthan), Faridabad (Haryana), Vadodara (Gujarat), Thanjavur and Chengalpattu (Tamil Nadu), Patiala (Punjab), Bhagalpur (Bihar) and Kadapa (Andhra Pradesh).

HMSI also conducted a summer camp to promote adoption of road safety behaviour at Traffic Training Park in Hyderabad in partnership with the Hyderabad Traffic Police. Last but not the least, Castrol Honda LCR rider Johann Zarco emerged triumphant at the French Grand Prix.
