Review Overview

Royal Enfield sold a total of 75,820 motorcycles domestically, up 19 per cent from May 2024’s tally of 63,531 units The month of May 2025 proved to be an auspicious one for Royal Enfield which ended the period with combined motorcycle sales of 89,429 units. The figure represented a 26 per cent improvement over the same month last year where total dispatches stood at 71,010 units and a large portion of that jump came from overseas markets. The brand exported 13,609 motorcycles in May 2025, a remarkable climb compared to the 7,479 units dispatched internationally during the same stretch last year, leading to an 82 per cent surge in outbound volume. On the home front, the Chennai-based manufacturer sold 75,820 motorcycles domestically, up 19 per cent from May 2024’s 63,531 units. The Year-to-date performance – April and May combined – reflected a similar story. The cumulative exports for the first two months of the current financial year touched 24,166 units, rising significantly from 14,311 during the same window in FY 2024-25. Meanwhile, domestic sales grew from 1,38,569 to 1,51,822 motorcycles, indicating a 10 per cent increase.

Across both markets, the company has moved 1,75,988 units this fiscal so far – up 15 per cent compared to 1,52,880 a year ago. Last month, RE continued to strengthen its brand through experience-led initiatives and design collaborations. The registrations have opened for the 21st Himalayan Odyssey as 70 riders from around the world will manoeuvre through a punishing 2,600 km journey across the Indian Himalayas. Beginning June 28, the ride will pass through Ladakh, Zanskar, Spiti and the challenging Umling La – the world’s highest motorable route. The company also revealed a tie-up with The Great Frog, a well-known British name in custom jewellery. The collaboration centres on a limited edition collection featuring a reimagined Super Meteor 650 chopper, a handcrafted sterling silver ring and bespoke riding apparel.

The capsule range debuted at the Bike Shed Moto Show in London. Royal Enfield also introduced a new range of riding gear built for city riders. The Urban Outerwear lineup is designed for commuters who want safety without sacrificing aesthetics. Key pieces in the collection include the CE-certified Phoenix Leather Jacket and the Urbanite Hoodie.
